Inspiring a deeper connection to aquatic life and the outdoors while encouraging the protection of the natural world.
ABOUT THE OWNER
RJ CORBITT
My name is RJ Corbitt. I recently graduated with a degree in Marine Biology and am now going full-time with my company called AquaBeasts. At Aqua Beasts, our mission is to inspire, conserve, and entertain. We aim to spark a love for aquatic life and the outdoors—bringing people closer to the natural world while showing how fascinating and important it is to protect it. If we can help someone fall in love with fish, aquatic creatures, and wild water ecosystems the way we have, then we've made a real difference. By sharing the beauty, fun, and value of aquatic life, we make the world a better place—one adventure, tank, or cast at a time.
A major part of AquaBeasts revolves around my fishing and travel trips. I’ve been fishing for as long as I can remember — growing up bass fishing and catfishing in Ohio, traveling to Florida for snook, redfish, and tarpon, and later falling in love with redfish on artificials and land-based shark fishing while studying at UNCW. I’m passionate about every style of fishing, whether it’s from land, kayak, or boat, and whether I’m using spinning gear, fly gear, lures, or bait. Every approach offers something unique, and I strive to pass that excitement on to my audience. I love not only the thrill of catching fish, but also the journey, the scenery, the challenge, and the people who make each trip memorable.
A huge part of AquaBeasts is my FishCave — a dedicated room built entirely around my passion for fish-keeping. The FishCave currently holds over 1,000 gallons of water across 12 aquariums, including a custom-built 600-gallon indoor pond. It’s home to some incredible species like moray eels, clownknife fish, redtail catfish, and much more.
As an angler, you’re always chasing that one moment — the moment you finally catch the fish you’ve been after for years. The smile in the photo says it all. It’s not always about the size; sometimes it’s about how you caught it, or where you caught it. Every fish has its own story, but some… are just more special. And as anglers, we’re always out there, thinking about the next story we’ll create”
The Mission
RJ is the main man behind everything that makes AquaBeasts run. RJ is in the works of rolling out brand new merch for his community to rep. The mission was to design a custom website through Shopify tailored to all things that AquaBeasts is, and display all the merch so his folks can buy and represent the AquaBeasts community.
A lot of the photos and videos I show on this page were all taken by RJ and/or his team. The work that I contributed to this project was putting together that video at the top, as well as the rendering for all the products. I also designed every layout for the entire site, and all product and media displays.
It is currently still in the works, RJ does not want to display the website live to the public yet, so I will provide a password for you to use so you can by pass the password wall to have a look at the website so far!
